Military Ball -- 2014

So, April 12, or, Saturday was the day of the Military Ball, which I thought was a great experience [that I would like to do once again] and overall was enjoyable. The only problem was simply that I do wish that the night would have felt longer, as those four-and-a-half hours flew by quite quickly!

As I had put in this post, I had asked [technically someone helped me ask him--I was too anxious] Mr. Aquarius if he would like to go with me, and he had replied with a yes, and I completely lost it and "tackle-hugged" my friend whom did the asking for me. Then she brought him to me. And then I lost whatever vocal and social abilities I had simply dissapated.

Anyway, back to the topic. I ended up being about ten minutes late [surprisingly enough], though Mr. Aquarius greeted me [and my sister; she was our chaparone] kindly. We arrived around 5:40 p.m., thus leading to an approximately twenty-minute wait before the recieving line was to begin. After the Reciving line, we stood at a table with some friends [mostly from Rifle Team, most of which I know/am well-aquainted with], and continued to wait until everyone attending was situated.

Next there was some other parts such as the Grog Bowl, Announcing of Royalty, Toasts, et cetera. Following all of this was the dinner portion, and this was one of my favorite parts, mostly because I was able to converse with everyone. Several funny stories were brought up, jokes, and the entire time, there was a very comfortable, friendly athmosphere. Personally, I would love to add more details such as conversation topics, but I'll go ahead and spare you the details.

Dancing was the last portion of the Military Ball, and stretched across a two-hour time period. I mostly danced with friends, engaged in conversations, searched for specific others, and consumed unsweetened iced tea and a cup of punch. Oh, but the highlight of this event, and I truly am indebted to a certian someone in Rifle Team [well, some Cadets, I should say..] for getting Mr. Aquarius and I to dance together.

What made this even better? We both had no idea of how to dance [we basically slowdanced], and another friend of mine, Aubree, had decided to talk whilst we [Mr. A and I] were dancing, and went on and on about how I always talk about Mr. Aquarius during class; he smiled and chuckled the entire time that I was shooshing her while dancing. Hahaha.

I will be leaving out just about all of the details [as I would wish to keep them myself c; ], but I would like to give a shout-out to Mr. Aquarius [I hope he isn't reading this, actually--Hahaha, if he is, it wouldn't be hard to figure out who I am, after all] for giving me an absolutely wonderful time and for his overall awesomeness!

[Now, in the event that he is reading this]
Also, I particularly did enjoy that last tidbit at the very end of the ball, prior to going outside to wait for our rides...Hee hee~
